Term 4 Goals

Term four is already here and it has swept me off my feet into my last weeks of this school. I still can´t believe that in 10 weeks I will not be here anymore. Anyway, I think that my mathematics goals are to get all work done and to a high standard. This means that (if I succeed) I will hopefully have an even better attitude towards mathematics. In writing, I would like to have the same goals that apply for maths. I want to get tasks done with a lot of time to spare so I can edit thoroughly because I really need to work on that. In reading, I need to work on my high understanding of reading in general. We are no longer allowed to read E-Books in S.S.R (Super Silent Reading) so I have decided to start the Percy Jackson series. I have just issued ¨The Lightning Thief¨ so I am reading a wider range of books. These are my goals for Term four, my last term of Te Awamutu Intermediate.

Term 3 Reflection so far...

Hey, guys. Sorry I have not been posting this term. To show this I will do a post about both weeks that I have missed this term. So,... We have started Music Tech. It is really fun. So far we have done Latin music, Irish music, Reggae and now we are doing blues. We get to write our own song with a blues theme. FUN. So we need to write it on something that bothers us. Like a food that we don't like, or homework, or a sibling that might be annoying. (Looking at you Jake.) And we are going so good with Rock Band. We just had a competition and we got awesome results. The other band, Atomic, got 3rd best keyboard player, (Hannah), our band, Bass Booster, got 3rd best guitar player, (Ruben), the second best original song (Weather the storm) and I got 1st best Male Vocals! YES! Other than that not much interesting has happened. Oh well...

Term 2 Week 6 Reflections 🐼

Hey, guys. Just because we only had four days in this week, doesn't mean it wasn't as fun. On Tuesday, we had Food Tech. We learned that we were making our cafe a joint cafe with one recipe each, but it had to be really healthy, but still tasty. We also had to make our invitations, so because Jake was already inviting Mum, and my invitation was so complex that it could only be done once in the allotted timeframe, I decided to invite my best friend, (Sombat's) parents, Sor and Houth. Since they own a bakehouse and they are always giving me food, I decided to give them some of mine (And of course, the rest of the classes.) The only thing wrong with this plan is that I had no idea what I was going to make, (and being my unorganised self, I still don't.) Anyway,... I honestly can't remember what happened the rest of the day so, On Wednesday, I can only remember what happened in Jump Jam so I will just tell you what happened from there on. In Jump Jam, I tried reall...

Term 2 Week 3 Reflections 🐼

Yet another week of this term has gone and I have so much to talk about. On Monday I was sick so I did not attend school. On Tuesday, I arrived back at school ready to start the week. We started a new Tech Arts. Food. Today we made Little rolled up pieces of toast and dip sticks. I remembered what backtracking was and did that in maths. I remembered how simple it was. At lunchtime, we had Rock Band. Normally we would have it on a Wednesday but we had Music Camp then so... we are writing a song and it is kind of coming together. On Wednesday it was Day One of Music Camp. Because of the afterschool practices going on with Music Camp, when my mum dropped me off at school at 8:30, I said, "See you in 11 hours Mum!" because we were not going home until 7:30. That is late! Anyway I made a new friend called Jason and he also play's the cornet, he plays Roblox (more specifically, Brick Bronze), he is in Rock Band, and we are great friends. On Thursday, it was Day Two of M...

Term 1 Reflections 🐼

Term 1 is nearing its end and 11 weeks go along with it. I have made so many memories this term and it has been a blast. I had Camp, Triathlon, I got into Rock Band, I am in both Symphonic and Jazz Band, I am in Choir, and I have learnt so much! This term I did not get a leadership role like I would have hoped for but that does not mean I am still not a leader. Also, I am improving on my class work. I am putting more effort into my work and I am producing better quality work too!   This term has made me realise what being a Year 8 is like. It is harder than being a Year 7 but I think that is a good thing. I really love a challenge. Also being a Year 8 means that I have to step up more to be a role model for the Year 7's. By doing so, I have achieved my Bronze Badge for SHINE this term. Term 1 has been an awesome term. I have done so much and learnt so much, I am a Year 8 now and I am also 12. That is new. But I still feel the same. Anyway, it has been a great term.

Camp Wellington!!! 🐼

Image
Camp Wellington was finally here and I was so excited. I couldn't wait for all the new adventures to come. I enjoyed everything and found everything interesting in their own way. We learnt lots in the educational places like Parliament, Space Place, Wellington Museum and Te Papa. My favourite places would have to be Weta Workshop, Wellington Zoo, Space Place, Capital E, Snorkelling, and H20 Xtream. I loved Weta Workshop because I am a huge Middle Earth fan, (Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit). I loved the Space Place because I already knew a lot about Space, but I learnt a lot more. I loved Wellington Zoo because I got to see so many new animals that I had not seen before and I got to get some souvenirs afterwards. Also because it was my birthday. I loved Capital E because I got to be a presenter in OnTV and that was a whole lot of fun. Also in the Media Lab, we got to make our own worlds with some Unity software and got to use Google Cardboard to see the world. I loved Sn...

Term 1 Week 6 Reflections 🐼

Week 6 is finally here! Lot's have happened this week and here is some of it. On Monday it was a normal school day. But after school, we found out a little bit about our Makuhari student that we were going to have stay in our home. His name is Asuki and he is 15 yrs old. On Tuesday, we had a normal Tuesday. On Wednesday, we had a normal Wednesday. We did English, then Maths, and then Jump Jam. On Thursday, Asuki finally arrived. He is very tall and he is very interesting. I can't wait for what is coming in the future with his stay. On Friday, we held a Powhiri for the Makuhari students to welcome them into our school. All of the students were very happy and nervous to be at the powhiri. Those were my Week 6 reflections.
