Wow. This week has been fun. The highlights were Camp at Narrows Park and P.C. On Monday, I sadly did not attend school because I had a case of "the runs," or Diarrhoea. On Tuesday, I came back to school to see it was a Mufti Day. Luckily my brother had reminded me the day before, so I came prepared. First, we did Tech Arts. I think my truck is coming along nicely. I finally used the Bench Saw to drill the wheels, but I just need to file them now. After Interval, I then did maths. We are doing geometry at the moment. I have never been perfect at geometry so I hope I learn lots. So far I have learnt how to use a protractor, how to use a compass to draw circles, triangles, and to bisect an angle. After lunch, it was time for P.C. It was time to learn and face the "Ugly Truth" of body changes. I can't believe that it has already been 10 weeks! It's going so fast! Anyway, This week I have learned how to use a compass to draw circles, how to use equipment to draw triangles and how to bisect angles for maths. I have learned to play "My heart will go on" a love theme from Titanic by Celine Deon on my trumpet. (Well 8 bars to be exact), On my guitar, I have been learning songs like Wild Thing by The Troggs, Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol and Knocking on Heavens Door by Bob Dylan for music. For writing, I have been working on a descriptive piece of writing about a place that I can write about. Also to eliminate all "To Be verbs" and "Boring verbs." For Tech Arts, my class is currently doing "Design" or Hard Materials. We are making wooden trucks. I think I might be behind on a few elements, but I am doing the best I can and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I am really looking forward to next week because: 1. I am going to camp. YAY...

This term is going so fast. The reason that this post is for both week 8 and week 9, is because of the long Easter weekend. So.... Last Monday, Because Mr Graham was not here the last week, he made up for it by giving us a short tour of the workshop, or whatever he calls it. Then the next day we actually got to start working. Last Wednesday we did not have French due to Mrs Shaw not being there. We also had Student-led-Conferences. Thursday I had Guitar, Junior band, Mathletics and School singing. We also had Choir. Guitar lessons are going really well. I'm learning lots, like different chords. I already knew A, D&E but now I also know G, C, F ,and A minor. The trumpet is really fun. I'm getting quite good at it. The choir was fun although Whaea Rangi wasn't there it was still as fun. We're singing lots of songs and we're really great. Then came the 5 days long Easter weekend.
