Term 1 Week 8 & 9

This term is going so fast. The reason that this post is for both week 8 and week 9, is because of the long Easter weekend. So....

Last Monday, Because Mr Graham was not here the last week, he made up for it by giving us a short tour of the workshop, or whatever he calls it. Then the next day we actually got to start working.
Last Wednesday we did not have French due to Mrs Shaw not being there. We also had Student-led-Conferences.
Thursday I had Guitar, Junior band, Mathletics and School singing. We also had Choir. Guitar lessons are going really well. I'm learning lots, like different chords. I already knew A, D&E but now I also know G, C, F ,and A minor. The trumpet is really fun. I'm getting quite good at it. The choir was fun although Whaea Rangi wasn't there it was still as fun. We're singing lots of songs and we're really great.
Then came the 5 days long Easter weekend.
The next time I came to school, it was my birthday. Jake and I brought easter eggs for the whole class! Pity not everyone ate them apparently. On the plus side, I got Easter eggs in my lunch.
Another Thursday. Once again Guitar then Trumpet. Then Brain Inquiry. Brain Inquiry is actually quite fun. I am in Group 6. My groups question is "What is Left brain Right brain and what effect does it have on children's learning?"
After School Singing, We had Summer Games. I did Softball. Because I'm in Waipa, I had to play against other houses. We one our first game but lost the rest. This is a funny story. On our third game, my team was versing my brothers team, I swung the bat but it hit the back of my head. It really hurt but it counted as a strike. So the next pitch I missed but I realised that meant a strike so I had to run. So I got out.
On Friday well, Jake and I were going to prank the teacher but.. Jake forgot his saxophone so we had to go back home. The prank that we were going to do was swap necklaces so the teacher couldn't tell us apart. But we were late so we missed the roll. DAMN YOU JAKE!!!!

    Unfortunately, even if your April Fools had gone ahead, I probably wouldn't have been any wiser! My goal for next term is to to tell you apart without any clues. If I only had a class of two, I'm sure I would have mastered this by now!

Hey, guys. Just because we only had four days in this week, doesn't mean it wasn't as fun. On Tuesday, we had Food Tech. We learned that we were making our cafe a joint cafe with one recipe each, but it had to be really healthy, but still tasty. We also had to make our invitations, so because Jake was already inviting Mum, and my invitation was so complex that it could only be done once in the allotted timeframe, I decided to invite my best friend, (Sombat's) parents, Sor and Houth. Since they own a bakehouse and they are always giving me food, I decided to give them some of mine (And of course, the rest of the classes.) The only thing wrong with this plan is that I had no idea what I was going to make, (and being my unorganised self, I still don't.) Anyway,... Camp Wellington!!! 🐼

Camp Wellington was finally here and I was so excited. I couldn't wait for all the new adventures to come. I enjoyed everything and found everything interesting in their own way. We learnt lots in the educational places like Parliament, Space Place, Wellington Museum and Te Papa. My favourite places would have to be Weta Workshop, Wellington Zoo, Space Place, Capital E, Snorkelling, and H20 Xtream. I loved Weta Workshop because I am a huge Middle Earth fan, (Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit). I loved the Space Place because I already knew a lot about Space, but I learnt a lot more. I loved Wellington Zoo because I got to see so many new animals that I had not seen before and I got to get some souvenirs afterwards. Also because it was my birthday. I loved Capital E because I got to be a presenter in OnTV and that was a whole lot of fun. Term 1 Week 6 Reflections 🐼

Week 6 is finally here! Lot's have happened this week and here is some of it. On Monday it was a normal school day. But after school, we found out a little bit about our Makuhari student that we were going to have stay in our home. His name is Asuki and he is 15 yrs old. On Tuesday, we had a normal Tuesday. On Wednesday, we had a normal Wednesday. We did English, then Maths, and then Jump Jam. On Thursday, Asuki finally arrived. He is very tall and he is very interesting. I can't wait for what is coming in the future with his stay. On Friday, we held a Powhiri for the Makuhari students to welcome them into our school. All of the students were very happy and nervous to be at the powhiri. Those were my Week 6 reflections.
