Term 2 Week 1

What a way to start this term. First off, on Monday, we had a Powhiri to welcome our new Japanese teacher. Her name is Etsuko. Also to welcome the new Room 6 teacher. After Interval, we did some math. I can not remember what we did in math so I shall not elaborate. In the afternoon, Mrs Crowe explained about Science Fair.

On Tuesday, it was Tech Arts first. I have nearly finished my box of the truck. Just a few more lessons and it'll be done. After interval was maths. Then at 12:30 we had Mike King come and talk to us about depression and addiction. This was really motivational. I learned a lot. Also later at night, a group of two teams of four entered the Kids Lit Quiz. We didn't win, but at least we tried.

On Wednesday, a group of ten did a maths test from the University of Otago. I did my best so I'm proud of myself. Then I just did some math. I can not remember what happened after interval, but after lunch, we had french. We're up to Unit three/Unite trois. I'm learning a lot in french. Then it was time for Jump jam. Apparently in jump jam, Sophie fractured her arm. When I found out, I cracked up. I am a troll.

On Thursday, well because it is music day it was pretty normal. For guitar, I can't believe I got moved up a group. I was very suprised. Then I had band. Then Math. Then Choir.

On Friday, we had english, then math. Then Tech. This is going really well. Just two more lessons and we move on to science. After lunch we watched an educational movie about the history of the Waikato. Then more math. It's like all we do is math. Not that I don't like it but...

Hey, guys. Just because we only had four days in this week, doesn't mean it wasn't as fun. On Tuesday, we had Food Tech. We learned that we were making our cafe a joint cafe with one recipe each, but it had to be really healthy, but still tasty. We also had to make our invitations, so because Jake was already inviting Mum, and my invitation was so complex that it could only be done once in the allotted timeframe, I decided to invite my best friend, (Sombat's) parents, Sor and Houth. Since they own a bakehouse and they are always giving me food, I decided to give them some of mine (And of course, the rest of the classes.) The only thing wrong with this plan is that I had no idea what I was going to make, (and being my unorganised self, I still don't.) Anyway,... I honestly can't remember what happened the rest of the day so, On Wednesday, I can only remember what happened in Jump Jam so I will just tell you what happened from there on. Camp Wellington!!! 🐼

Camp Wellington was finally here and I was so excited. I couldn't wait for all the new adventures to come. I enjoyed everything and found everything interesting in their own way. We learnt lots in the educational places like Parliament, Space Place, Wellington Museum and Te Papa. My favourite places would have to be Weta Workshop, Wellington Zoo, Space Place, Capital E, Snorkelling, and H20 Xtream. I loved Weta Workshop because I am a huge Middle Earth fan, (Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit). I loved the Space Place because I already knew a lot about Space, but I learnt a lot more. I loved Wellington Zoo because I got to see so many new animals that I had not seen before and I got to get some souvenirs afterwards. Also because it was my birthday. I loved Capital E because I got to be a presenter in OnTV and that was a whole lot of fun. Term 1 Week 6 Reflections 🐼

Week 6 is finally here! Lot's have happened this week and here is some of it. On Monday it was a normal school day. But after school, we found out a little bit about our Makuhari student that we were going to have stay in our home. His name is Asuki and he is 15 yrs old. On Tuesday, we had a normal Tuesday. On Wednesday, we had a normal Wednesday. We did English, then Maths, and then Jump Jam. On Thursday, Asuki finally arrived. He is very tall and he is very interesting. I can't wait for what is coming in the future with his stay. On Friday, we held a Powhiri for the Makuhari students to welcome them into our school. All of the students were very happy and nervous to be at the powhiri. Those were my Week 6 reflections.
