Term 2 Week 5

Hi. This week was pretty normal except for Monday and Tuesday. Because Mrs Crowe was away on a course. On Monday, we had Mr McCabe. He talked about all the fish that's probably going to die in 20-30 years, and how the polar bears are going to die because of global warming melting the ice in 20-30 years. And even about how some countries having no toilets. Anyway, that made us lose our volleyball time. So after that, we carried on with our work. On Tuesday, we had tech arts. We missed out on the last Friday's session, so we had to start behind everyone else. We were doing the marble challenge. This is when you build a freestanding track out of cardboard and keep a marble rolling for 20 seconds. We are doing good. If good is 10% finished. After Interval, we had another teacher. I forgot her name and now I feel bad about it. Anyway, we did some work until about 12:05. Then she taught us a game. We were split up into 6 teams. The game was, She put up lines like this. _ _ _ _/_ _ _ _ _ _ /_ _ _ /_ _ _/_ _ _ _ _ _. We could guess either a letter, for one point, a word, for five points, or the whole sentence, for 10 points. The game ends when the whole sentence is called. The team with the points wins. So I was in team one. I lost. After lunch, I did more work. On Wednesday,  Mrs Crowe came back to school. We did work before interval and after interval. Then after lunch, we did french then Jump Jam. On Thursday, well, it's music day for me. I might have even done music after school. Because I might have been joining the TALOS youth choir, but we decided that we would wait for another week. (Week 6) Anyway, we're in Jazz band for sure now. That was my week 5. Hey, guys. Just because we only had four days in this week, doesn't mean it wasn't as fun. On Tuesday, we had Food Tech. We learned that we were making our cafe a joint cafe with one recipe each, but it had to be really healthy, but still tasty. We also had to make our invitations, so because Jake was already inviting Mum, and my invitation was so complex that it could only be done once in the allotted timeframe, I decided to invite my best friend, (Sombat's) parents, Sor and Houth. Since they own a bakehouse and they are always giving me food, I decided to give them some of mine (And of course, the rest of the classes.) The only thing wrong with this plan is that I had no idea what I was going to make, (and being my unorganised self, I still don't.) Anyway,... Camp Wellington!!! 🐼

Camp Wellington was finally here and I was so excited. I couldn't wait for all the new adventures to come. I enjoyed everything and found everything interesting in their own way. We learnt lots in the educational places like Parliament, Space Place, Wellington Museum and Te Papa. My favourite places would have to be Weta Workshop, Wellington Zoo, Space Place, Capital E, Snorkelling, and H20 Xtream. I loved Weta Workshop because I am a huge Middle Earth fan, (Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit). I loved the Space Place because I already knew a lot about Space, but I learnt a lot more. I loved Wellington Zoo because I got to see so many new animals that I had not seen before and I got to get some souvenirs afterwards. Also because it was my birthday. I loved Capital E because I got to be a presenter in OnTV and that was a whole lot of fun. Term 1 Week 6 Reflections 🐼

Week 6 is finally here! Lot's have happened this week and here is some of it. On Monday it was a normal school day. But after school, we found out a little bit about our Makuhari student that we were going to have stay in our home. His name is Asuki and he is 15 yrs old. On Tuesday, we had a normal Tuesday. On Wednesday, we had a normal Wednesday. We did English, then Maths, and then Jump Jam. On Thursday, Asuki finally arrived. He is very tall and he is very interesting. I can't wait for what is coming in the future with his stay. On Friday, we held a Powhiri for the Makuhari students to welcome them into our school. All of the students were very happy and nervous to be at the powhiri. Those were my Week 6 reflections.
