Sorry, I have not been writing lately but I am now so please be grateful. :) . On Monday, I had an assembly (as usual), then we did some English. After Interval, we had A.L.C time and we played football. Sorry, this wasn't our game. But I almost did a high air kick. Almost as good as this but not quite. Almost no one saw it but this is how I remember it. After lunch, we just did some math. YAY On Tuesday, we started Music tech. This so far is really fun. I am learning things on the keyboard, on the ukelele and learning some history of music. I am looking forward to learning about different types of music. Like forte, staccato, and so on. After the interval, I think we did some math and after lunch, I forgot what we did. But, after school, I found out that for my category, I got second in the science fair. Hi. This week was pretty normal except for Monday and Tuesday. Because Mrs Crowe was away on a course. On Monday, we had Mr McCabe. He talked about all the fish that's probably going to die in 20-30 years, and how the polar bears are going to die because of global warming melting the ice in 20-30 years. And even about how some countries having no toilets. Anyway, that made us lose our volleyball time. So after that, we carried on with our work. On Tuesday, we had tech arts. We missed out on the last Friday's session, so we had to start behind everyone else. We were doing the marble challenge. This is when you build a freestanding track out of cardboard and keep a marble rolling for 20 seconds. We are doing good. If good is 10% finished. After Interval, we had another teacher. I forgot her name and now I feel bad about it. Anyway, we did some work until about 12:05. Then she taught us a game. We were split up into 6 teams. What a way to start this term. First off, on Monday, we had a Powhiri to welcome our new Japanese teacher. Her name is Etsuko. Also to welcome the new Room 6 teacher. After Interval, we did some math. I can not remember what we did in math so I shall not elaborate. In the afternoon, Mrs Crowe explained about Science Fair. On Tuesday, it was Tech Arts first. I have nearly finished my box of the truck. Just a few more lessons and it'll be done. After interval was maths. Then at 12:30 we had Mike King come and talk to us about depression and addiction. This was really motivational. I learned a lot. Also later at night, a group of two teams of four entered the Kids Lit Quiz. We didn't win, but at least we tried. On Wednesday, a group of ten did a maths test from the University of Otago. I did my best so I'm proud of myself. Then I just did some math. I can not remember what happened after interval, but after lunch, we had french. We're up to Unit three/Unite trois. I...

Wow. This week has been fun. The highlights were Camp at Narrows Park and P.C. On Monday, I sadly did not attend school because I had a case of "the runs," or Diarrhoea. On Tuesday, I came back to school to see it was a Mufti Day. Luckily my brother had reminded me the day before, so I came prepared. First, we did Tech Arts. I think my truck is coming along nicely. I finally used the Bench Saw to drill the wheels, but I just need to file them now. After Interval, I then did maths. We are doing geometry at the moment. I have never been perfect at geometry so I hope I learn lots. So far I have learnt how to use a protractor, how to use a compass to draw circles, triangles, and to bisect an angle. After lunch, it was time for P.C. It was time to learn and face the "Ugly Truth" of body changes. I can't believe that it has already been 10 weeks! It's going so fast! Anyway, This week I have learned how to use a compass to draw circles, how to use equipment to draw triangles and how to bisect angles for maths. I have learned to play "My heart will go on" a love theme from Titanic by Celine Deon on my trumpet. (Well 8 bars to be exact), On my guitar, I have been learning songs like Wild Thing by The Troggs, Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol and Knocking on Heavens Door by Bob Dylan for music. For writing, I have been working on a descriptive piece of writing about a place that I can write about. Also to eliminate all "To Be verbs" and "Boring verbs." For Tech Arts, my class is currently doing "Design" or Hard Materials. We are making wooden trucks. I think I might be behind on a few elements, but I am doing the best I can and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I am really looking forward to next week because: 1. I am going to camp. YAY...

This term is going so fast. The reason that this post is for both week 8 and week 9, is because of the long Easter weekend. So.... Last Monday, Because Mr Graham was not here the last week, he made up for it by giving us a short tour of the workshop, or whatever he calls it. Then the next day we actually got to start working. Last Wednesday we did not have French due to Mrs Shaw not being there. We also had Student-led-Conferences. Thursday I had Guitar, Junior band, Mathletics and School singing. We also had Choir. Guitar lessons are going really well. I'm learning lots, like different chords. I already knew A, D&E but now I also know G, C, F ,and A minor. The trumpet is really fun. I'm getting quite good at it. The choir was fun although Whaea Rangi wasn't there it was still as fun. We're singing lots of songs and we're really great. Then came the 5 days long Easter weekend.
